Aurora
Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Her birthplace was in Stavanger on June 15th, 1996. Her professional name is Aurora. The name of her can be also stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. Half the World Away - by the Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two of the most notable covers she has recorded. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry promoted her song Runaway. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an attic piano and becoming enthralled by the sound it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to make music as a means of personal growth, rather than to earn money or for to pursue an interest. So she started writing her own songs. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with a love for Bjork's style. After her mother said that the songs she wrote might not gain fame for her rather to help individuals to recognize their own value and impact on the world, she started playing them on stage. She was suggested by her mother to sing her songs in public so that people can see their own importance and how they can affect the world. It was not until she turned 14 that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora's fame was not her goal. Her sole passion is to compose music. For her, music is the only method to experience anything.
